The next step after RAG implementation.

On the 31st of May 2024, Kenja hosted the inaugural event of their Thought Leadership series on AI Implementation for Enterprises at NUCB’s Tokyo Campus in Marunouchi, Tokyo, Japan. The seminar, which spanned an hour from 7 to 8 pm, included a 45-minute keynote presentation by esteemed speaker Yoshiaki Tojo and finished with a 15-minute Q&A session.

The keynote presentation, “Beyond RAG: Hints for Generative AI Integration in Enterprise Business Workflow”, explored the future for businesses currently using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models to tap into their internal knowledge. Specifically, the considerations for leaders who aim to go beyond simple retrieval and extraction of internal documents and information, and aspire to connect GenAI solutions to the creation of value for their businesses.

In an enlightening and comprehensive session, Speaker Yoshiaki Tojo provided insights into the current technological trends in GenAI with a focus on large-scale language modeling, a field that’s seen significant advancements and breakthroughs in recent years. He meticulously outlined the key areas Japanese companies should be vigilant about when utilizing GenAI, incorporating real-world case studies from both domestic and foreign companies into his talk.

Overall, Speaker Yoshiaki Tojo’s presentation served as a comprehensive guide for businesses, illuminating the path for understanding and navigating the complexities in the field of GenAI.

Speaker Yoshiaki Tojo

An entrepreneur with a history of establishing AI ventures in both San Francisco and Tokyo, Yoshiaki Tojo holds multiple leadership roles. He is the Founder and CEO of Senesens, Co-Founder and CEO of WhiteNarwhal Japan & Ikkaku Startup Lab, and serves as Senior Advisor at Mobility Impact Partners. Additionally, he is currently the Director of AI Strategy at Kenja.

Yoshiaki’s work encompasses the development and provision of various AI technologies, like in-house document analysis and fall detection using wifi sensing. He also played a significant role in the Kenja AI project, leading the creation of AI solutions for tasks such as internal knowledge application and automated document creation using large language models (LLMs).
