TED KATAGI AS FINALIST IN THE 2022 WEB3 & BLOCKCHAIN TRANSFORMATION AWARDS

Kenja founder and CEO, Ted Katagi, has been shortlisted as a Blockchain Leadership Award finalist in the 2022 Web3 & Blockchain Transformation Awards (W3B Awards). He has been nominated in the Industry Leadership subcategory alongside Pradeep Goel, CEO of Solve.Care, and Roanie Levy, CEO of Prescient Innovations. In total, there are 35 finalists across 11 award categories and sub-categories.

Ted Katagi’s nomination follows after Kenja’s projects into Halal certification and CSR auditing this year.

For Halal certification, Kenja worked alongside two of Indonesia’s leading Halal auditing bodies, Muhammadiyah and Syarikat Islam, to develop a blockchain-enabled customized platform which digitalized Halal auditing in the country and cut the certification process down half the time. Importantly, the solution also gives full transparency and provenance of the auditing process so consumers are reassured of the legitimacy of Halal certified food.

For CSR auditing, Kenja worked together with TÜV Rheinland to develop a customized end-to-end solution for auditing with full integration to pre-existing systems. The solution enables the certification of factories abroad without the need for travel and removes silos by allowing clients as well as suppliers to collaborate for a more seamless and inexpensive auditing process.

The Web3 & Blockchain Transformation Awards (W3B Awards), formerly known as the Enterprise Blockchain Awards, is hosted by Web3 & Blockchain World (W3B) with the intention to acknowledge the drivers behind global blockchain transformation. W3B is a joint venture between the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI), a global independent think-tank with members including large companies such as NASDAQ, Microsoft, P&G, Accenture and IBM amongst others, as well as MCI Canada, the world’s largest engagement agency.
