Ted
Katagi

Ted Katagi is the Chief Executive Officer of Kenja, a company that provides an AI-enabled cloud collaboration platform for enterprise customers. Before founding Kenja, he was Head of Private Equity Asia for Fidelity Investments, Chief Marketing Officer for Vodafone Japan and Verizon Wireless (West), and Global Head of Commercial Strategy for Vodafone. Ted also worked previously at IBM and Bain & Company. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves as a professor of digital transformation at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business.

Philip

Butkiewicz

Philip Butkiewicz is the Chief Technology 0fficer of Kenja. He has 14 years of development experience in leading-edge code design. He worked previously for IBM, for whom he architected the next-generation IBM SPSS Statistics app. He also co-founded a successful software house startup and has been the initiator of several blockchain projects since 2012.

Kamilla

Benforte

Kamilla Benforte is the Chief People Officer of Kenja, where she oversees the organization’s people strategy. With a certification in Executive Emotional Intelligence Coaching, she combines her passion for neuroscience with a deep understanding of behavior in the workplace. She founded her own coaching company named Virtuous Circle Coaching to help people Currently based in the U.S., she has lived across Europe, Asia, and Australia, allowing her to learn seven languages. She studied in Germany before earning her degree in Animal Science from Columbia University and the University of Georgia.

Takeshi Nakamura

Takeshi Nakamura is Head of Sales & Business Development at Kenja. He is a seasoned executive and has a wealth of industry experience spanning from Oil & Gas, communications, Building Control, Information Securities and Enterprise Software solutions. Before joining Kenja, he was a member of the senior management team for Japan & Asia Pacific at Oracle, VP of Operations at Johnson Controls, and Sales Director at Lucent Technologies. He is also involved in several technology start ups such as the one that provides innovative Hydro Power generation machine as COO (USA), EVP at Trinity Security systems that provides a ultra secure WiFi access point for SMB (Japan), and CEO at BeneSec that provides fraud proof credit card solution(USA). He holds a Master of Civil Engineering at Kyoto University, and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technologies.

Yuriko Ishihara

Yuriko Ishihara is Head of Delivery and Consulting at Kenja. She also leads fundraising as the Chief Investment Officer. Before joining Kenja in July 2024, she has continuously delivered viable solutions to complex transformation challenges: as Partner/5G Lead for IBM Consulting Japan, CSO/SVP of Strategy at US Sprint, and key leadership roles in Finance and Strategy such as Financial Planning, budget management, Investor Relations, large scale LBO, and all phases of a cross border M&A at Softbank. Preceding her career in telecom and IT/DX, she successfully managed portfolio investments at Nippon Life Insurance/Nissay Asset Management where she was able to cultivate a unique outside view on many diverse companies, industries and cultures. She holds an LL.B. from Kyoto University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Dave Plumer

Serves as Founder, Chairman, and CEO of the Institute for Enterprise Value and is a board advisor for Kenja, Engage3, Deco Lighting.

He has built a career as an experienced global CEO, Chairman and Board Director, successfully delivering high growth and profitability to Fortune 500, Venture, and Private Equity companies. He holds an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.A. degree in Economics from Union College, NY.

Sandra Ro

Sandra Ro currently serves as an advisor for Kenja, the CEO of the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), a Swiss-based non-profit as well as an angel investor, Board member and co-founder of several start-ups. She holds a M.B.A. from London Business School in Accounting and Finance, Computer Science at Columbia University, School of Continuing Studies and a B.A. degree from Yale University.

Sandra was named to the Innovate Finance, Women in Fintech 2016 Power List and is regularly recognized as a top crypto and blockchain leader.
