The solution was developed for a leading Japanese retailer.
Tokyo, Japan, May 9th, 2022. Kenja, the Tokyo based SaaS / blockchain company, has introduced a blockchain enabled CSR Audit Management System for one of the largest retail companies in Japan. This software aims to provide this group with a better global oversight of the implementation and improvement status of its suppliers following their sustainability guidelines.
With the advice of TÜV Rheinland Japan, a global provider of auditing services, we developed a solution that supports a wide range of operations relating to the retailer’s CSR audits. The functions of the system comprise the self-checklist provided to suppliers and the certificates of compliance issuance with blockchain technology.
As a result, this helps system users of the leading retailer and its other groups securely access supplier management high quality data, as well as updates of the achievement and improvement relating to supplier factory CSR.
*About CSR Audit
CSR audits (supplier audits) are conducted to audit the actual operations of suppliers as a means of proving that the company is implementing CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) procurement. Currently, CSR audits mainly focus on confirming “whether there are any problems with the supplier’s organizational management, labor conditions, or environmental and social considerations.”
Comment from Mr. Sakata, TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd., System Department:
